SECONDARY PLANS

Big Picture Planning is our specialty. As a multi-disciplinary firm we are able to prepare comprehensive secondary or neighbourhood plans. Our in-house expertise includes planning, urban design, infrastructure, stormwater management, environmental analysis and transportation planning, which when combined result in an ability to create comprehensive secondary plans, to guide the future development of communities and neighbourhoods.

In addition to the technical skills necessary to design and create comprehensive plans we are also skilled in public participation and agency involvement. We have a very proactive consultative process which ensures that all stakeholders have input into the process and that the ultimate design best balances the complex technical variables with the wishes of the community.

We have prepared secondary and neighbourhood plans for both public sector municipal clients and for private development projects. This ‘big picture’ approach ensures that planning is conducted in a comprehensive manner and thereby can also incorporate the Environmental Assessment Act process at the same time. Our attention to detail in preparing secondary and neighbourhood plans ensures that the plan can be implemented and built out in accordance with the approved design.
