PEIL is a provincial leader in the Ontario aggregate industry in terms of providing professional planning services to both private and public sector clients. PEIL specializes in finding practical solutions, innovative techniques and reasonable approaches to the development of aggregate properties and the preparation of the required site plans to ensure wise stewardship of the resource while minimizing land use compatibility impacts.

PEIL has several staff which are certified and experienced in the preparation of aggregate site plans under the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA) with an emphasis on post-extractive rehabilitation design options. Our in-house staff also provide many other complimentary services including Land Use Planning (ARA Licensing, Official Plan Amendments, Zone Change, OMB, and Policy and Strategy Formulation), Market Area Analysis, Landscape Architecture, Acoustical Studies, digital terrain modeling for volume calculations, topographic surveying, floodplain modeling, and other surface hydrology. In addition, PEIL has a long positive track record utilizing a team approach to aggregate resource planning. This has fostered a close working relationship with other established experts in fields such as geomorphology (P.Geo.), hydrogeology, geotechnical studies, geological engineering, aquatic and terrestrial biology, mirco-climate engineering and transportation engineering.
