PEIL offers Environmental Noise Assessment for both transportation (Rail and Road) and stationary noise sources. Our environmental noise team is fully versed in the Stamson's computer program prepared by the Ontario Ministry of Environment for forecasting transportation noise and have completed the Ministry of Environment course on environmental noise assessment.

PEIL can assist our clients in forecasting the impact a noise source may have on or the impact noise from their site may have on adjacent sensitive lands and make recommendations for noise abatement. We offer assistance to clients at the planning and approval stage to develop an efficient plan that can help mitigate noise impact while maximizing land use and minimizing cost for noise abatement.

Finally, PEIL has in-house noise monitoring equipment for monitoring of actual noise sources to augment the designs and/or assist in evaluating noise complaints or for certification of compliance to the Ministry of Environment.
